Car Battery Maintenance

(1) The electrolyte level should always be maintained between max and min, check once a month, and add distilled water (pure water) appropriately according to the drop of the liquid level, and do not add acid.

(2) When the voltage of the car battery is insufficient, the light is dim, and the starting is weak, it should be charged outside the car in time.

(3) To prevent the battery from being overcharged or losing power for a long time, the overcharge will cause the active material to fall off, and the lack of power will make the electrode plate vulcanized. Make sure that the regulator voltage cannot be too high or too low.

(4) During the use of the car battery, the exhaust hole should be checked frequently to prevent the battery from deforming or bursting.

(5) The battery should be kept away from heat sources and open flames, and should be ventilated during charging and use to prevent burning and hurting people.

(6) To prevent the battery from discharging with large current for a long time, the start-up time should not be greater than 5 seconds per use. The two consecutive start-up times should be 10-15 seconds apart.

(7) The battery should be installed firmly on the car to reduce vibration.

(8) Always check whether the battery connection cable is firm. All live joints must be kept in good contact to prevent sparks and explosion of the battery. The oxides and sulfates produced by the battery clips must be scraped off and coated with petroleum jelly to prevent further corrosion.

(9) Frequently remove dust, dirt and spilled electrolyte from the battery cover, keep it clean and dry to prevent self-discharge.

(10) Cracking of sealing glue should be repaired in time.

(11) When the car is driving in a cold area, it is necessary to avoid the battery from being completely discharged to prevent the electrolyte from freezing.
