Dry charge car battery new battery charge
Jun 05, 2020
The first charge of a dry-charged car battery is called initial charge. The initial charge has a great influence on the service life and charge capacity of the battery. If the charge is insufficient, the charge capacity of the dry-charged car battery is not high, and the service life is short; if it is overcharged, the battery's electrical performance is good, but it will also shorten its service life, so the new battery should be carefully charged for initial charging. For ordinary batteries, they must be initially charged according to the charging specifications before use.
For dry-charged lead-acid batteries, according to the instructions for use, although it needs to be used within the specified two-year storage period, as long as the electrolyte with the specified density is added and left for 15 minutes, it can be used without charging. However, if the storage period exceeds two years, due to partial oxidation on the electrode plate, in order to improve its charge capacity, it should be recharged before use, and charged after 5h-8h before use.
